The project proposal was to design a design a three-storey Shopping Centre on calle Cesar Manrique de Rivas-Vaciamadrid with a food establishment occupying the Ground Floor.
The steeply sloping street was an added difficulty resolved with the use of outdoor escalators and an elevator in a glass tower that also serves as an eye-catching element.
Inside, a central courtyard area acts as a distributing element and meeting point on the ground floor. The sides of the courtyard are finished off with two staircases opening on to two passages with glass railings that distribute the first floor commercial spaces.
The top floor is set back to house a balcony area for use by the food and drink establishments.
The building is enclosed in a ventilated ceramic façade and a glass roof that offers an extraordinary level of luminosity to all the indoor passages.
