120 state-subsidised apartment homes with storage rooms, garage and swimming pool on the RCB-12 plot at Cristo de Rivas (Rivas Vaciamadrid).
Residential complex consisting of two open-block buildings
The location of both buildings leaves a central shared space for the swimming pool and children’s play areas.
The decision was taken to build two different blocks on this plot, one linear and the other following a U-shaped plan. The first has three entrances and the second eight. Both have homes with cross ventilation.
The capped-price state-subsidised (VVPL) homes are located in the attics and corners of the buildings and the basic state-subsidised (VPPb) homes in the central entrances of the buildings.
The façades are built of white exposed brick, the terrace overhangs are built of a combination of brick and translucent glass that is repeated as an enclosure for the utility rooms. The exterior frames are made of PVC.
